Brewers Note

Beer is made up of over 90% water. The quality of the water has long been recognised for its contribution in making good tasting beer.

MATA beer is brewed using Certified Organic Artesian Water which we transport specially into our brewery.

MATA beers are clean and pure. No preservatives, additives, finings, animal products or added sugars, are used.

MATA MANUKA is a clean, smooth tasting golden coloured ale edged with a hint of New Zealand's native Manuka honey. MATA Manuka is a unique beer which has its own distinctive flavour. Light honey notes and a slight residual sweetness.

MATA ARTESIAN (based on a German Style Kolsch) is a refreshing, crisp-tasting light bodied pale ale which has characteristics of a lager, hopped with N.Z. Hallertau Aroma which is grown in the sunny Nelson Region of New Zealand. 

MATA FEIJOA
** New Release 

MATA FEIJOA is a palate cleansing, spritzy real fruit ale edged with the unique taste of Feijoa. The Feijoa in the beer comes from real fruit which is added in at a secret point in the production process.
