SMOKY ALE (7% ABV)
A hangi pit, (a NZ-style earth oven) is filled with malted barley, sweet kumara and potatoes before brewing this beer. Mata Taniwha is a silky smooth smoky, earthy, malty ale with whisky like character.
A very special and unique full flavoured smoky, malty beer, which won a gold medal when first entered into the festive brew section of the Brew NZ Awards 2010.
